Brent Pautler , postdoc

Brent joined the Casey research group to develop high-pressure NMR applications on aqueous samples after completing both a MSc and PhD in Chemistry in the Environmental NMR research group at the University of Toronto. Brent's MSc research focused on organic matter characterization of Canadian Arctic sediments and soils while his PhD research used advanced mass spectrometric and NMR methods to study organic matter in the cryosphere. Prior to graduate school, Brent obtained his Honor's BSc in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo where he gained experience in both solid-state and nanomaterial research. He is an avid hockey fan, and has the unique ability to transition any conversation topic to the latest NHL hockey news, the Toronto Maples Leafs, fantasy hockey news, or hockey talk shows on TSN 1050 AM radio.
