Derek Popple, undergraduate student
Derek is an aspiring chemist and photographer from Sacramento. He is currently pursuing a bachelors in chemistry at UC Santa Cruz where he discovered his interest for materials science and inorganic chemistry. In the future, he hopes to obtain a doctorate before working in industry and teaching at a research university. He is currently with the Casey lab through the Center for Sustainable Materials Chemistry (CSMC) for the summer of 2016.
