BackssDNA Nanografting
Research Goal:
1. To develop a methodology to immobilize ssDNA onto solid surfaces in order to miniaturize DNA microarray into DNA nanoarray.
2. To provide a molecular level precision fabrication method to spatially confine ssDNA onto surfaces in order to construct DNA based molecule devices and biomolecular computation.
(A). Imaging a SAM under low force in a solution containing thiolated ssDNA
(B). Under higher force, matrix Molecules are removed by AFM Tip, thiolated ssDNA self assemble onto gold surface.
(C). Characterizing the fabricated nano pattern using the same tip under low force.
