Donald Land
Primary Investigator/Big Cheese
Dr. Land is a Lawrence University of Wisconsin alumni, graduating in 1984. He then joined UC Irvine to earn his PhD in 1989. He was then a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Surface and Interface Science at UC Irvine until 1990. He was also a Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at der Institut füer Grenzflåechenforschung und Vakuumphysik, Forschungszentrum, Jülich from 1990-91. Katherine Hutches

Katie is a UC Berkeley alumni, graduating in 2003 from the Chemistry Department with a BS. She then came to UC Davis to the Forensic Science Department, earning her MS in 2005. She joined the Land group in 2004 to work on the soot deposition and fire investigation research.
Terry Ng

Terry is a UC Davis alumni, graduating in 2003 from the Chemistry Department. He originally joined the Judy Charles group in that same year, but ended up joining the Land group in 2004 to work on the self-assembled monolayer (SAM) research.
